When Evan came to he had no idea where he was or what was going on. he was tied up and sitting on a dirt floor. it was dark in the room except for the one bare light bulb that hung over the only door. Evan squinted into the darkness and saw chains and hooks hanging from the metal walls. Evan began to hear noise coming from behind the door. it took Evan a minute to figure out what the noises were they were muffled screams from the woman. Evan began to panic he didn’t know what to do he just wished that none of this had ever happened. the muffled screams stopped and Evan could hear footsteps approaching the door. this is it this is how i’m going to die thought Evan as a man opened the door.

“Is he awake?” asked a voice from behind the man standing at the door.

“Yeah, he's a wake.”

“Bring him out,” said the voice again. the man in the doorway came into the room and grabbed Evan by the arm and half walked half dragged Evan into the other room. the room was poorly lit with only one bare light bulb hanging from the center of the room. the man that was holding Evan threw him hard at the bare dirt floor.

“Stand up,” said the voice. Evan looked in the direction that the voice was coming from. it belonged to a short boxy man with a red mark under his left eye. “I said stand up,” Evan quickly got to his feet and stood facing facing the man with the red mark. “Who are you?”

“Evan, Evan Jones,” sputtered Evan as he tried to stop himself from shaking.

“What were you doing in the parking area so late at night?” asked the man with the red mark.

“I was just leaving the office i had a late night,” said Evan keeping his head low trying not to make eye contact with the man.

“Hes lying we should kill him now he has seen too much,” said a tall black man.

“No, Bulldog at least not yet,” said the man with the red mark.

“What are you going to do to me?” asked Evan daring to steal a glance at the man.

“Not sure yet. it all depends on how useful you prove to be to us.” the third man came up and looked Evan over. the third man remained Evan of a weasel.

“He looks like he works in an office, Boss. He could be a programmer,” said the weasel looking man.

“Data entry is what I do,” said Evan.

“Let him go, Dodger he has nothing to offer you and I doubt that he will go to the police,” said a woman from behind Evan. Evan turned and looked at a blonde haired woman, blood was dripping from the corner of her mouth.

“Quite, Christine this doesn't concern you,” snapped Dodger as he crossed the space between them and backhanded her. Christine gave a small cry of pain Evan tried to move toward her but Bulldog had him by the collar of his shirt. Dodger was about to say something when the door flew open and in ran another woman.

“What the hell, Owl?” asked Dodger as everyone drew their guns.

“Police,” said Owl as she tried to catch her breath.

“Shit,” said Dodger.

“You will never get away with this Dodger,” said Christine as she smiled.

“I said shut up,” said Dodger as he pointed the gun at Christine’s head.

“No,” yelled Evan as he tackled Dodger trying to take the gun away. Evan and Dodger fell over on the ground and were wrestling. Dodger was trying to point the gun at Evan but Evan pushed the gun away and punched Dodger. Dodger rolled over pinning Evan underneath him and pointed the gun at Evans head. just then Christine kicked Dodgers hand knocking the gun away. Evan wasn’t sure what happened after that there was so much commotion. Evan only had one thing on his mind at that moment and that was to get the gun. People were yelling and screaming it was all a blur but Evan found the gun and turned around and pulled the trigger. the gun fired and everything went quite. Evan opened his eyes and saw Dodger falling to the ground with a bright red spot in his chest. Evan looked around at everyone else and they stared back at him. Evan began to panic and dropped the gun and ran out the door. it was getting lighter out the sun was rising. Evan had no idea where he was but he took off running. Evan could hear birds and heavy trucks moving all around him. the smell of sea was strong but Evan didn’t care he had just shot a man. he just killed a man. Evan didn’t notice or see that he was running on a pier and he was reaching the end of it. before Evan could stop himself he ran off the pier and into the water below. This wouldn’t have been a problem for Evan if he knew how to swim.

~~~~~
Evan was back in the hotel with Hank on top of him. Evan couldn’t see through the water he was about to give up and just be done with it all. Evan let his hands fall back into the water and was about to stop when something metal brushed his hand. Evan reach his hand out and grabbed the metal thing. from what Evan could tell it was a pipe. with all the strength  he had left Evan swung the pipe at Hank and hit him. Hank let go of Evan and Evan sat up in the water and took a deep breath of air. Hank saw Evan come up and immediately tried to push him back down. But Evan swung the pipe at Hank again and hit him in the jaw. Evan tried to get his feet under him before hank could get back up.
“Gina, hurry up i can’t hold him here much longer!” shouted Evan as he braced himself for another attack.
    ~~~~~

Gina could hear the wolf at her heels she knew it was only a matter of time before the wolf got to her. she had to do something soon or find the door and open it. Gina looked over her shoulder and saw the wolf leaping over her head. Gina stopped and ducked down. the wolf landed and turned it’s mouth wide open. Gina didn’t move she was afraid too. that’s when she felt an icy hand grab her wrist. Gina turned her head and looked up into the face of Jeff.

“why don’t you just give up. it’s over Gina the hotel is winning. just give me the key and stop. you have it good here why go and mess that all up?”

“because this is no life,” said Gina as she pulled Jeff toward her and pushed him into the wolf. that didn’t give Gina much time but it was enough to get around them and head down the rest of the hall. just as Jeff got up the entire hotel began to shake. chunks of the ceiling were falling down and water was coming through every hole and crack in building. but Gina kept running she was almost to the end of the hall and the key was burning in her hand. Jeff was right behind Gina when the floor gave way and the hallway was split in two. both Jeff and Gina fell as one half of the floor began to rise. Gina rolled to avoid a large chunk of ceiling as if fell towards her, smashing into a dozen pieces. the hotel stopped shaking and the dust was beginning to settle water was still pouring in making the broken hallway slippery. Gina rolled over and got to her knees and looked around. the hallway was beginning to look like a condemned building. Gina slowly stood up and looked at the doors and then she found it the last door on the left. she slowly stumbled towards the door. she reached out her hand and was about to put the key in the lock.

“Stop,” yelled Jeff. Gina turned her head and looked at Jeff. “don’t do it Gina,” Gina looked Jeff straight in the eyes as she pushed the key into the lock and turned it. Jeff began to scream as the door slowly creaked open. Gina kept her eyes on Jeff as she stepped away from the door and away from Jeff. the door stopped creaking once it was fully open. it didn’t take long for a long dark hand to emerge from the dark doorway. following the hand came a long thin head. the smell coming off of the creature was unbearable. but Gina didn’t move and she didn’t budge. Jeff stared at the  creature with wide eyes.

“what the hell are you?” asked Jeff. the creature slowly tilted its head up and looked at Jeff with great big red eyes.

“Death,” said the creature in a soft voice. within seconds the creature leaped and engulfed Jeff. Gina was shaking terribly  when the creature turned and looked at her.

“Where?” it asked it’s big red eyes staring right at Gina.

“Down,” was all that Gina could manage to get out before the beast turned its head and leaped over the crack in the floor. Gina stood motionless for what seemed like forever she hoped she was doing the right thing.
